McLaren are a fast growing, innovative construction and property business with over 800 group employees in the UK and UAE.
With disparate workforces on green and brown field sites across lots of locations, fast, reliable communications are key to their successful operation.
Traditionally, their communications strategy was based around telephony and Email but they realised that they needed better tools and became early adopters of OCS (now known as Skype for Business) to replace their PABX.
Over a small period the business has quickly grown from 100 employees to over 800.
With the business being that much larger than it once was, the IT infrastructure and its services needed to be refreshed to support the continual growth. The Skype for Business platform was a key part of this refresh and improved communication and collaboration tools were a vital element of this process.
At the same time externally, clients were demanding more video conferencing and collaboration as part of their day to day communications.
