MeetingZone Audio Conferencing Charges

Conference Charge Calculation

This is the core cost of your conference call. Charging is per second and there are no minimum call charges. It is calculated by us at a rate in pence for each minute you use the service. We only charge you for the time actually used in a conference.

Typically, the total conference charge for each conference call is calculated by adding up all the time that the attendees spend on the conference and multiplying it by the Price Plan you have selected - see example below .

EXAMPLE
For example, 3 people on a conference, 2 of them for 1 hour, the other for 50 minutes of the conference, would result in a total of 2 x 60 minutes plus 50 minutes, making 170 minutes. MeetingZone charges for the time actually used on a conference.

The cost of the conference call is centrally billed to the account holder. Each participant pays the cost of the phone call into the conference and the account holder picks up the cost of the conference charge per person, per minute.

If you are a Company user and make a number of conference calls, this account enables you to see and control the company's spend on conference calling. Bills are itemised and show the detail of each call. There are also value added features, such as Recording, Operator Managed calls and International access options that can be added to the account. There is a choice of dial in numbers, so for example if you are conferencing with a customer, you can pay for their call by giving them an 0800 number to dial in on. Volume users can also take advantage of discounted rates. The service utilises high quality technology and has operator support, full resilience and the complete backup you'd expect from the UK's leading independent conference call provider.

Charging Structure for Additional Audio Services

Choice of Dial-In Numbers

A standard MeetingZone audio account is issued with a UK local rate 0845 dial-in number. Your account will support the use of other dial in numbers if these are more appropriate to your use of conference calling. You can add these numbers to your account at any time. There is no cost to add a number, you are only charged if the number is used.

Call charges will be raised to the participants in the conference by their local telephone company at the prevailing national rate. European national rate access charges vary by country .
Global Access Plan
International Freephone numbers from around the world .
Attendees dial in to a freephone MeetingZone dial in number. Attendees pay nothing to participate in the conference. The host will pay the call charges .

Dial Out Call Charges

You may wish to dial out in order to bring other participants into your conference by either using the dial out functionality on your telephone keypad, using the dial out facility on the website in Conference Control, or by inviting your participants to join your conference as part of the invitation process. The cost of bringing in others into your call is dependent upon their geographic location and the type of phone they are using .

For security reasons the dial out functionality and Conference Control are not automatically enabled when you open a new account. If you wish to activate this facility on your account please contact the Customer Service team on 0845 310 5050 (International callers +44 1844 265 519) or email customerservice@meetingzone.com .

Recording and Playback

Recording allows the conference host to make a digital recording of their conference. This is stored on our system and you can access these recordings via our web site in your secure Customer area. The recording can be played back into your conference or downloaded to your PC .

How much does Conference Recording Cost?

Our standard charge is £10 per recording, ex VAT

Once a conference has been recorded, there are a number of options :

Messaging

Transcription Services

Transcription is £3/min for a 24 hour turnaround service. A same day service is also available. Conferences must be recorded and downloaded to use this service .

Paper Bill

£10 per month per bill generated. Receiving your bill by notification by email each month is free of charge. If you would like us to send you a paper bill each month a £10 charge will be levied .

Cheque Payments

A £3 administration fee is applied to accounts that are settled by cheque. This is added to your outstanding balance. MeetingZone offers a variety of payment options including debit/credit card, Direct Debit or BACs/CHAPS transfer. Please contact us for more details .

Administration Services

£30 per hour for pre preparation of participant dial out lists and general administration as required by the customer beyond our standard operator assisted service .

Event Registration Services

£250 per event and includes custom web based event registration service including reporting, email notification and confirmation .

Web Conferencing Charges

Whether you require quick and simple screen sharing or the ability to make remote presentations, our web conferencing services are easy to use .

MeetingZone Glance Pricing Options

Pay as you go - you are charged on a pence per minute basis similar to your audio conference rate for the time only that you and your participants are in the Glance session. This works in the same way as the audio conferencing service .

Individual Subscription Options – allows an individual named user to use the service on an unlimited basis for the period of the subscription .

Company License Option – allow a single license to be shared between users in a company .
